✤Kathleen Hendricks is a creative consultant for William H. Sadlier, Inc., publisher of religious education materials, and a contributing writer to many of their programs, including We Believe and Gather In My Name.
✤She is author of the books Prayers for Catechists, A Parent's Guide to Prayer, Everything About Parish Ministry I Wish I Had Known, The How-To’s of Intergenerational Catechesis, and Parish Life Coordinators: Profiles of an Emerging Ministry. She and her husband, Ron, co-authored the book, The Long Road to Oklahoma: Images and Impressions of Our Trip Across America.
✤Her articles appear in various periodicals, including the monthly columns, “My Spiritual Director” (Religion Teacher’s Journal) and From My Home to Yours.
✤She worked as a Catholic school teacher, director of religious education, and pastoral minister for over 25 years in Alaska, Colorado, and British Columbia, Canada. She was also Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Colorado Springs and served as Parish Life Coordinator for Pax Christi Parish, Littleton, Colorado.
✤Kathy presents talks, workshops, leadership seminars, and retreats throughout the United States and overseas.
✤She offers retreats for catechists, principals, youth ministers, pastoral leaders, parents, women’s groups, and families.
✤Kathy has served on a number of national boards and for two years was an advisor to the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Women in the Church and Society. She also served as General Editor for the Catechetical Sunday materials, published annually by the U.S. Catholic bishops.
✤Kathy holds a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Colorado and a M.A. in adult community development from Regis University, Denver. She is also certified as a spiritual director through Benet Hill Center, Colorado Springs.
✤She is married and is the mother of two adult children and a daughter who died in infancy.
✤Kathy is a member of the Colorado Authors League and Spiritual Directors International.
